Geospatial Distancing

Background:
I began my role with a background in design and photography, but soon identified a gap in video content strategy for marketing. With no one specializing in video, I took the lead in filling this need, self-educating on video editing tools and crafting an entire video strategy from scratch. My focus wasn’t just on the technical aspects but on powerful storytelling and fostering human connection through engaging content.
By the time the pandemic hit, I had already honed my skills in video content creation, and I recognized a greater need to engage remote audiences. I spearheaded the creation of “Geospatial Distancing,” an innovative digital show that broke the mold of traditional webinars. This unscripted, conversational format fostered the kind of informal, idea-sharing atmosphere that had been lost with the move to remote work.
Running the Show:
I took full ownership of the show’s visual and conceptual identity, serving as both moderator and creative director. I crafted compelling topics, brought together industry-leading guests, and managed all the logistics and promotion.
Through my efforts, we achieved 200% audience growth from start to finish. I developed a system to consistently improve audience engagement, meticulously tracking metrics to adapt and refine each episode.
Strategy:
Beyond content creation, I collaborated with cross-functional teams, leading promotional efforts, creating marketing assets, and delegating tasks to social and lead generation teams.
I also cultivated relationships with industry leaders, securing high-profile guests that elevated the show’s appeal.
Result:
Even as pandemic restrictions eased, the signature style I developed for the show became a staple for future digital events.
This initiative exemplified my ability to lead creative projects, craft compelling narratives, and drive audience growth.
